style.css nav color won't change

    I want to change the background color of my primary nav bar to white. Currently it is a beige. I have done this in the past, so know how... however it no longer seems to work. I found the line in the style.css file (below) and changed the background from #ebe6d4 to #ffffff. I've saved and updated and cleared my cache. But the color stays the same.
    I can only see the change when I edit it in Firefox using Firebug as a test.

    Does anyone have any ideas why the color won't change?

    The background is white. You're looking at an older version of your style sheet in the browser. Hold down the shift key when you refresh the page to force the browser to download the style sheet again.
