    Hi All,

I understand the technical side of web development, but I am struggling with putting a design together with color, typography, images, positioning, and overall aesthetics, I am not a designer, but I would like to know the workflow on how to decide what looks right in the first place before placing it in Genesis Framework. I look forward to your response, and I appreciate your time.

    Thank you.

I think the way you design really depends on your preferences. I am a coder first, so I tend to build in the browser - I don't spend time on a bunch of mockups or anything like that. I usually sketch out a few quick ideas on paper because that's just easier for me. Many of my colleagues are designers first, so they spend hours creating mockups in Illustrator before they ever touch the browser. (Which I think is a colossal waste of time, personally, but that's just me.)

I would highly recommend this online course in basic design principles from Nicole's Classes: http://nicolesclasses.com/portfolio/principles-of-good-design/

The courses offered there are really good and very much worth the cost. Hope that helps!
