Does anybody have a recipe for a sticky menu for the current sample child theme?

To make a menu sticky, you add position: fixed; to its CSS.

Using position: fixed, layers the fixed element on top of all other content, of front to back along the z-axis as the case may be. Think of it as stacking one sheet of paper on top of another.

The front-most layer (the fixed element) will hide the content below it. So you have to move the lower content down by changing it's top margin to accommodate the height of the menu container.
