In this link, Sridhar explains how to add Agency Pro's Featured Posts area into Centric Pro. I really want to do this, but when I add it, the featured posts insert right below the Home 1 section. I would like it to insert between the Home 3 and Home 4 sections or at the very end of the page if I decide not to use all six sections.
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance!

April 17, 2014 at 6:59 pm #101079waggonkrMemberBrad, I noticed you have a post on this subject (http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-widget-home-php-genesis/).
I'm wondering why this widget is displaying above my other home widgets even when I put the code at the bottom of the files.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
KristineApril 18, 2014 at 6:21 am #101120AnitaCKeymaster@waggonkr, I wanted to chime in here briefly on your use of code from other developer websites. As a long time participant volunteering my time to provide community support, when you go to a developers website and use their code - you should always ask them on their blog, send out a tweet to them, or use their contact links. What most people don't realize is that you give us a link - and that link requires *us* to go to *their* website, review and interpret *their* code to troubleshoot your issue. That is not our role here to do that. It is up to each individual developer to provide that level of assistance with their code. If they are unresponsive to your inquiries, I wouldn't use their code. That's just my advice to you for future reference.

Try this:
1) Do NOT do this:
2) In front-page.php
below
genesis_widget_area( 'home-widgets-3', array( 'before' => '<div class="home-widgets-3 color-section widget-area">', 'after' => '</div>', ) );
paste
genesis_widget_area( 'agency-like-featured-posts', array( 'before' => '<div class="agency-like-featured-posts widget-area"><div class="wrap">', 'after' => '</div></div>', ) );

anitac: With all due respect the code I use in my blog posts is not some proprietary secret magic voodoo code. Like you or anyone else volunteering here in these forums, I do not have any obligation to answer the comments in my blog posts. Yes, I understand that in an ideal world I would, but I also need to take care of my freelancing projects, spend time with family and so on.
I do not understand why you would need to specify that it is not your role to help someone with their questions whether or not the question is pertaining to code from other sources. Is the person asking for help demanding it? No, at least not in this instance. This is a community forum and if you can not help, let others who can and might and interested to do - do it. Please do not discourage people from asking here. They are after all, asking about Genesis.
May 2, 2014 at 6:54 am #103309AnitaCKeymasterMy role is not to go and do that level of research Sridhar. If *you* take the time to write it, then I would assume you would support any questions that might come with it. Why would *you* expect *me* to do that. I volunteer my time here for the Studiopress themes and the code that comes with those themes. My role is not to volunteer to support code that *you* wrote and decided to share with others.
I never discouraged anyone from asking anything here - I stated that if you decide to use code from someone else, on their own website - you should contact that person *first* before posting here. *You* wrote the code and know it better than *we* do.
Again, I have *volunteered* my time to support Studiopress and their themes and some of the third party themes. I didn't volunteer to provide support for *your* code on *your* website.

My point is this:
I don't expect you or anyone else here to provide support to questions posted by users, whether those questions are about articles posted in my blog or not. This is a community powered user to user forum. It means if you can and want to answer a question, you may. No one is forcing you to.
Why would *you* expect *me* to do that.
I don't. I never did. You answer a question only if you want to. No one is expected to.
I stated that if you decide to use code from someone else, on their own website – you should contact that person *first* before posting here. *You* wrote the code and know it better than *we* do.
I agree with you on this.
My objection is to the following:
That is not our role here to do that. It is up to each individual developer to provide that level of assistance with their code. If they are unresponsive to your inquiries, I wouldn’t use their code. That’s just my advice to you for future reference.
No one here has said it is your role to do so. In fact, it is not. So why write that as if the original poster has raised a customer support ticket with StudioPress?
May 2, 2014 at 7:06 am #103315AnitaCKeymasterI didn't say anything about support, nor did they raise a support question - my wording states "assistance with their code." It doesn't say "support." But I am entitled to my own opinion and can share that as I see fit. It was a suggestion.... no one has to listen to me or take that advice - it's up to each person individually. Just like it's your choice to respond to inquiries on your website or not to respond to them.
