    HI - I have almost got everything I need done on this site but I am having a problem 'removing' the large space under the header and above the footer - that space is too large.

    I understand that I need to change margins and padding but don't know how - I've been playing around with it but can't get it right. This is the code I've been changing and so far all that has happened is that the area in top beneath the header nag bar and the top of slider gets smaller.

    How can I get rid of some of that space please.

    I think it's in this code:

    .site-container {
    background-color: #999999;
    margin: 32px auto;
    margin: 3,2rem auto;
    max-width: 1140px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 36px;
    padding: 3.6rem;
    }

    Thanks!

    Heather

    Here's a tutorial that will show you how to use Firebug/Inspector to find the elements you want to change: http://www.nutsandboltsmedia.com/how-to-customize-your-genesis-child-theme-with-chromes-inspector/
