    Hi,

I am using simple social icons on Digital Pro in the footer widget area. Running WP 4.7. (this is a client's site)

I did have the colors for each icon set up for each channel. ie. Youtube had a red border, facebook had blue, etc. Now, all Icons are white. Here is a screenshot http://www.screencast.com/t/B7gIZu1w1w If you hover over one of the icons the symbol inside the circle turns black.

If I look at the editor for the plugin simple-social-icons/css/style.css I see the svg so the updates have happened. I don't know when I lost the colors.

Can someone please tell me how to fix it. I'm not a coder so was relying on the plugin to do the update without issues.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

without a link to the website, all I can suggest is to check / change the Icon color in Appearance - Widgets - Footer Widget- (whatever the number of the widget area is that contains the icons) - Simple Social Icons - Icon Color

Thanks for your reply. Since the icons were color customised I don't want them to be the same color and the plugin widget only provides for one color for all icons which was not what I had prior to the plugin update.

I am wondering if the code in github is still relevant given the changes to the plugin recently? https://gist.github.com/bgardner/a09e9f2553ca062cef6e Does this code still apply or will it cause problems with the recent plugin updates?

    Thanks, Eileen.

The code you're looking at is just CSS. Add it to the bottom of style.css and try it. If it works, Great! If not, delete it. You won't hurt anything by trying it.
