    I'm using the Metro Theme and for some reason there is extra spacing around my images.

    I have uploaded the images twice to make sure the dimensions are right, but it looks like the image is being scaled.

    I have followed the instructions using the same image sizes as the demo and in my media library the images are 500 x 260. But they appear smaller in the slider.

    Any help would be truly appreciated.

    You are using the Metric theme which uses the WP-Cycle plugin for it's images, not the Genesis Slider. If you are going to use the Genesis Slider, you will need to edit the Slider CSS.
