This is probably the most asked question on the entire WWW. Well, that's an exaggeration, but it gets asked a LOT.

The site I am working on is a news site. I need to have the 6 most recent posts on the static front page with a read more link.

It is a widgetized Genesis home page, actually 'front-page.php'

HOW IN HEAVEN'S NAME do I get the loop for the posts onto this page? There's Home-Top, Home-Left, Home-right, and so on, and I can't figure out where to put the loop.

I know about Genesis Featured Posts Amplified, of course. I have been mucking about with it for weeks. It does NOT carry the formatting from the post, and it is not possible for us to make a manual excerpt for every single post.

In any case, I don't understand the big mystery. Why can't I just do this?

    Can anyone help? Thank you.

And now I'm on a mission to write a new loop for a new category template.
