I would like to replace the background image in the first section of Cafe Pro's front page with a looping video instead of a background image to create a large video header. I tried messing with the site I am working on a bit and ended up adding a demo video to the "Before Header" widget which is obviously wrong (you can see it here: kgshowroom.com/wordpress)

Under the video section there is a photo of a kitchen and a text box in the middle that says "Kitchen Gallery". The image in that section is what I would like to replace with a video.

I would like it to be similar to the video heading here: http://www.anotherbrokenegg.com/

Is that possible, and if so does anyone know how or have a place I could get more info? I've asked at Treehouse where I'm taking courses on web design, looked through every tutorial page that Studiopress has put out about Cafe Pro, and I've searched WordPress forums, sent an email to customer support, and Googled in general, but can't find anything.

    Thank you for the help!

Just bumping this as it was approved a few days after I initially posted and as I'm new here, I'm not sure if that means it sank lower into the forum thread before it had a chance to be viewed as a new post.

Are you sure its the header or a widget area?

    Hey Brad,

It's a bit blurry to me on that distinction, so I'm sorry for the confusion! I used the word "header" to try and relate what I'm trying to create: a parallax video header at the top of my page. But technically speaking, the template does use widgets to divide up the front page, but the area I'm trying to put the video into is the "Featured Section header Image". Sooo! I'm not exactly sure which part I need to edit, but basically: I'm trying to create a 100% wide, responsive parallax video "thing" 😉 at the top of my site where the Featured Section header Image currently is but before the first widget kicks in (the text section just below the first kitchen image that is on the site).

Hopefully that makes sense (but maybe not. :). Thanks for the patience!

I'd like to do this, too. I'd like to use a video instead of the first background image.

Hey Gina, looks like you got it figured out and I was hoping to try the same thing. Can you update with how you got the video up? Thanks!
