    Hi,

    I think this is an issue between genesis and woocommerce (I do have genesis connect for woocommerce installed btw).
    I have a client who can never keep track of passwords but when she goes to the wp admin page and hits "reset my pass" it takes her to a woocommerce module for pass resets. This resets for a buyer account thru woocommerce, not wp core.

    I can't seem to figure out why this is happening and my client thinks its a wp issue (which it kind of is). Any idea on how to mitigate this problem besides lecturing my client on the importance of keeping track of passwords?

    This has nothing to do with Genesis. Genesis does nothing with the userids and passwords. It is a theme to provide a site's look and feel, that's all.

    WooCommerce does not have a separate user database apart from the WP Core wp_users table. Changing a password through the WooCommerce account pages, changes the password in the WP Core table. That's the way it works.

    i am also facing same issue with my blog theme but luckily i solved that

    It has been my experience that a woo-passreset doesn't allow me into the wp dashboard. Thus the problem. I've tried it and can't access with passwords reset in that way.

    Any ideas where else I could look for the answer to this? Woocommerce has no forums that I can find- just want to sell me templates....

    If you don't want to use the WooCommerce password reset, clear out the Lost Password endpoint on the WooCommerce/Settings/Accounts tab. The lost password link will revert to the default for WordPress.
