    Is it possible to make the homepage, and only the homepage, full width on the News Pro theme? I want all other pages to have a sidebar, but would like to remove the sidebar from the homepage and extend the width of the widget areas.

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    You can do this. It requires editing the theme's home page template. Open front-page.php in an editor. Look for the line that reads:

    add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );

    Comment this line out by adding // at the front of the line. Now add this line:

    add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );

    Save your file and you're good to go.

    I would like to get a full width slide show on Parallax Pro. I am creating a web site using MAMP/localhost and have with the help of Studiopress found Web Inspector on Safari which is rather like Firebug. The slides currently show at 1140 x 570 pixels and I am trying to get 2000 x 1000 but this is constrained by the size of the widget container. I can see all of this with Web Inspector but cannot see what I need to change to get the larger size. I would be grateful for any advice on this.

    Hi Victor, Thanks so much. That worked wonderfully! And it was even easy.

    Hi Victor

    I'm able to see the home page of my site and specifically the slider and its settings in Web Inspector and can see that they are 1140 x 570 and need to be changed to 2000 x 1000. I am unable to see the text you mention above. I have tried to get to the page you mentioned with the following address

    localhost:8888/wordpress/wp-admin/+front-page.php

    This appears to be an incorrect route could you tell me what the correct route would be.

    Regards

    Mike
