    Greetings - I give up after wasting 2-1/2 days of searching online, this forum, through the theme and plugin editors, and experimenting in firebug; I cannot for the life of me figure this out (embarrassing). Yes, I see divs, ids and elements; and have edited all of them (including padding, line height, margins, etc.) but clearly am missing the solution. I say all that to show I diligently tried before asking. I know css enough to do html websites; but do flounder sometimes editing wp sites.

    Please: Where do I change the code in the primary sidebar to reduce all that vertical space in the primary sidebar between entries but not affect any other section? At this moment I am aware the thumbnails are overly cropped by that nifty post widget, but if I can't get this fixed I'll have to code a full text widget and will crop my own thumbnails. I've read the widget's forum help, and the issue is apparently my theme rules.

    Thank you very much in advance for any info to help and that I can learn from.

    I am assuming you are talking about the Links section? If you are, the space is coming from the CSS for the recent posts widget.

    .rpwwt-widget ul li {
        overflow: hidden;
        margin: 0 0 1.5em;
    }
    .rpwwt-widget ul li img {
        display: inline;
        float: left;
        margin: .3em .75em .75em 0;
    }

    The two margin settings in the CSS above create the space. The first clock adds the space to the li element. The second adds space to the thumbnail.

    Hi Victor! So nice to hear from you again. Thank you very much for stepping in to stop the self torture.

    Your suggestion was very helpful and made a difference. But then I could not satisfactorily resolve further display and thumbnail battles with that plugin. I've since located a comprehensive posts+pix sidebar widget with many easy customizations + an editable css code block right in the widget options.

    Thanks again!
