I found this site made with the Genesis Modern Portfolio Pro theme.

Theme made with Modern Portfolio Pro

It is one of the themes in the StudioPress Showcase. I was looking at the code with dev tools on the Home page. I don't understand where the code lives that's inside of the main class="content" ...where is all of this actual code. Is all this code in the front-page.php file?

It's for sure not in a widget area.... just trying to understand.

    Thank you!

If you look at the body classes, you can see that the site you are asking about is not using the front page template. It is using the theme's landing page template, and probably a customized version of it. This means the content is a standard WordPress page with the template applied.
