I am using Mocha and want custom excerpts to show up on the Home page. When I add them they are only visible on the Archive pages. What do I need to do so they also show up on the Home page?http://www.woodykins.com
Hi Neeznoodle, am I correct in thinking that you have your home page set up to display your latest posts via Settings -> Reading and you have also configured the Content Archives settings to only show excerpts via the Genesis theme settings?
Yes, you are correct.
Is there anyone who can help with this? I desperately want manual excerpts to who up on the Home page.
Sorry Neeznoodle I have had my hands full, I assume that you are still having this issue as this topic has not been marked as resolved?
Does changing "For each article in a feed, show" in the reading section make any difference at all?
No, I don't yet have a resolution.

No, all that does is show custom excerpts on Archive pages, such as the Categories pages, but the Home page only shows automatic excerpts, not the ones I manually wrote.
Sorry Neeznoodle but if you have set the home page to show only latest posts and you have also configured the Genesis archive settings in the Genesis theme settings area to show only your custom excerpts then I am not too sure without having a closer look at your set-up.
Perhaps another developer here knows of a solution, anyone?
Never mind. I'm going to use a static homepage instead.
