    Hey everyone,

Just wondering if on Metro Pro theme you can create a special recent posts section to display your recent posts with thumbnails plus designing them so they go horizontal with a border around them & adding a more button to each section. Also this would need a short code to be put on specific category pages which would also include a thumbnail, a little text and this time going horizontal.

All of this would need to be mobile responsive - at the moment we are currently working with a special recent post plug in for all of this however if we could get this coded in that would be better.

You're asking for a lot and it sounds like you should probably hire a developer. It's mostly CSS work, but it could some time to get it the way you want. It's just the nature of a forum to answer questions to get you pointed in the right direction. What you are asking could take hours to even point you in that direction.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm also not clear as to why you think you need a shortcode on a category page. Category pages are by default archive pages for a specific taxonomy. Depending on your theme, thumbnails display automatically.

    Hi Victor,

Thanks for your reply, didn't realise you would not be able to see this 🙂 .

Basically what we were looking to do was along the line of what we already have here -> http://www.underthechristmastree.co.uk - As you can see we have sections called how to's & crafting, food & drink etc where we use a special recent posts to display our most recent articles on the homepage and wondered if we could do this via metro pro instead of a plug in with different design and mobile responsive.

If you click on kids category on our menu it then takes you to a host of kids only related articles. We used the same plug in for this and simply entered a shortcode for it to display the way it does.

Would this still be a developer?

Thanks so much for all of your help.
