    This has been added to functions.php:

    //* Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
    'width' => 1140,
    'height' => 122,
    'header-selector' => '.site-title a',
    'header-text' => false
    ) );

    And the following 3 changes in CSS to px size only:

    /*
    Site Header
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- */

    .site-header {
    margin: 0 auto;
    min-height: 122px;
    width: 100%;
    }

    /* Title Area
    --------------------------------------------- */

    .title-area {
    font-weight: 700;
    float: left;
    overflow: hidden;
    width: 1140px;
    }

    .header-image .title-area,
    .header-image .site-title,
    .header-image .site-title a {
    float: left;
    margin: 0;
    max-width: 1140px;
    min-height: 122px;
    padding: 0;
    width: 100%;
    }
