I am new to the Genesis scene. I am looking to create a header design like the following
    Header Design

    My question is:
Before I embark on the journey to attempt to create something similar, is this kind of design even possible in Genesis? I have the Pro Plus package containing all the Genesis Child Themes from StudioPress. I have been looking at Executive Pro child theme.

It seems like the widgets all stack up on top of each other, i.e. you can not place widgets next to each other in one horizontal row.
I hope I am missing something simple. Any ideas?

You can easily align widgets horizontally by varying their width, margins, and floats in CSS. Many of the Studio Press themes already do that. Find a theme that has the widgets the way you want them and copy the CSS to Executive Pro.

Thanks, Victor. I have been browsing the StudioPress themes. So far, I have not found any where more than 1 widget is present in each row (and aligned horizontally).

May be I have not looked hard enough. Do you know of any StudioPress child themes with this functionality?

Can anyone please comment on whether the header design shown on
    http://www.holabirdsports.com/
can be designed in Genesis? I would like the same elements. Keep in mind that the abovementioned site, http://www.holabirdsports.com/, is not a WordPress site.

Look at Executive Pro. The demo shows 3 widgets aligned horizontally below the slider. Look at one of my sites, http://ultimatesdlc.com/. This is a modified Outreach Pro. There are four widgets aligned horizontally below the slider.

The sample site you pointed us to has no widgets in the header. In fact, it may not even be a WordPress site. I don't think we're speaking the same language when it comes to what widgets are and aren't. Nevertheless, you can code any StudioPress theme to look any way you want it to. So, yes, you can create a header like that one in a Studio Press theme.
