    Genesis Sample Theme 2.2.4
    Genesis Framework 2.4.2

Right now, I am just playing around and learning how Genesis works using the Sample theme.

My question is why is the first post on the blog page, and subsequent pages, showing the featured image twice (duplicated featured image)?

I am basically using the Genesis Simple Edit plugin along with the Simple Custom CSS and My Functions plugin so I don't mess around with the original files.

So far, I keep seeing a reference to thumbnails but I'm not convinced this is the issue.

All I want for a Genesis Christmas is a simple example how to fix this.

Here's the demo site with the issue in question, http://sample.mayadesignlab.com/blog/

I know it is obvious. I have seen it before but Google's asinine search results are making it it difficult to find the answer anymore. Your help will be much appreciated.

The top one is being displayed in after the entry header, the other is in the entry content. This means the function to display the image was probably moved to a different hook without first removing the original hook.

You also have some other issues with jQuery being undefined. This can generally happen when you call a function too early in the excution stack.

    Victor,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the response before I resolve this question. It took some figuring out but it made sense after you explained the possibility of the original hook being removed.

I have gone back to the basic and disabled all the unneccesary plugins to relearn everything from a pure function.php point of view. It cleaned up a lot of issues.

BTW, I did like your Back to Top function "solution" in the Simple Edit for the footer.
