    I want to remove this from my html:

    <!--[if lt IE 9]>
<script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.site.com/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/js/html5shiv.min.js?ver=3.7.3'></script>
<![endif]-->

    How can I remove it?

    IE9=< is just about 0.35% of my website traffic, its pointless to have it, as well I have cloudflare server push via the plugin and its being pushed to my 99.65 users which doesnt need this file.

    Any way to remove it via functions.php?

    Add this to functions.php:

    wp_dequeue_script( 'html5shiv' );
wp_deregister_script( 'html5shiv' );
