I have spent way too long trying to figure this out. I've been searching the internet for a while, for a solution to this. I have Genesis Simple Hooks plugin, and I can put in intro and outro text above and below the blogroll, but I need to set a PHP condition to only allow this for the first page ( https://maidsbytrade.com/blog/ ). This is where I'm stuck. I have very little knowledge of PHP and I haven't found what this condition would be, what the syntax of it should be.

This is crazy, I mean I imagine that this is a feature that many people would want. But hours later, I haven't found a direct solution to this. Maybe it's right under my nose but all I know is I've spent too much time on this one issue. If you know the solution and would like to share, it would be much appreciated. My co-workers and boss have been wondering how I haven't figured this out by now.

We also want this feature to be implemented on the first page only for the portfolio projects -- only for the text to be totally different text:

Ok, actually I thought of something that worked, which is to create a condition with jQuery within the right fields to put intro / outro text into. The condition being, if URL is this, then do this unless this. . Just figured this out with our contract developer guy who's better at jQuery than I am. Resolved.
