MemberHello! I have a two part question:
1. I can't seem to figure out how to upload a .swf file to WordPress. I assume a plugin will do it, but Google has failed me on a proper one to use. Any suggestions or better way to do this?
2. Once uploaded I need to place this add, a 728x90 leaderboard .swf file to the widget area defined at the top. Please help. You're the best, thanks!

MemberOk. So I'm practicing on one of my other sites http://www.walksimply.com (same theme) and have hit a wall.
First, I uploaded Allow SWF Upload plugin and that did allow me to upload the file.
Secondly, uploaded the Easy Flash Embed plugin as that tutorial stated. I then added a text widget to the the header right area and tried to add the code multiple ways. Both times it didn't work. Thoughts?

MemberDid you get anything like random code in text widget while trying to add flash file?

Membertried the widget and it partially works: the flash file will show, but the plugin places an unwanted ad underneath the ad so this won't work for me. I also need to have the file link to an external website.

MemberPossible solutions:
I'd try the plugins listed here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=flash
There's a big list so one of them has to do the trick.
I'd change the sort by filter to 'newest' to make sure you get only those that are current/up to date. One in particular caught my attention:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-flash-player/faq/
Their demo can be found here:
http://www.apptha-demo.com/wp_product_demo/
But it's compatibility with Genesis is anyone's guess. Worth a try though.
Cheers
