I am trying to create a grid of images that will serve as navigation menu. Each square in the grid would contain the page title and the featured image as background. When one hovers over the square the background image would fade out. Any ideas how this can be accomplished? I tried using the Genesis Widget Background plugin but the problem is it is only the page title that is linked not the entire block so I can't get the hover over effect.

It sounds like something similar, but a little different, to what I build for http://cobinlaw.com/. This is built on the Executive Pro theme. If this is the kind of thing you're looking for, it's all custom code.
