    I'm pretty much a beginner with WP so please excuse me if my question is very simple.
    Our website - http://www.visor-systems.com - was developed by another organisation but Google won't verify the site.
    I have a Google meta tag for insertion before [as required by Google] the <head> tag but can't find that location.
    The Site uses a customised version of a Genesis theme.
    I've searched all locations in the Visor Systems child and also the Genesis edit facilities. I found </head> in the Genesis area but not the corresponding <head>. According to a reply to someone else, I should copy the "Head" code and insert it into another page but:
    how do I find the complet <head> to </head> code for copying?
    which page to I paste it into?
    Could someone please point me in the right direction to resolve this problem?

    Go to the Genesis/Theme Settings menu in the admin area and paste the Google meta tag into the head script section. That's all you need to do.

    Thank you for the prompt reply.
    But, I'd done that but it's not working and I can't see the Tag when I check the html code on the only page I can find which has any reference to <head> and that's actuually only </head>.
    Also, according to the Google webmaster site, the tag should be inserted before <head>.

    Is this your site verification tag?

    <meta name="google-site-verification" content="-duG8LeQL9sPqZ73WaE0gXujjHH5HFYFT_kqdAM5-Ig" />

    It's in the header where it belongs. Nothing ever goes before the HTML header tag except the HTML declaration.

    Thank you and yes, that's the one.
    I couldn't see it in the html code. I'll go back and look again.
    However the site still isn't being verified by Google so that remains a problem for us.
    The code was inserted last Friday so I've assumed that it is now registered on Google.
