    I am wanting to use Genesis Tabs with CPT and custom taxonomy. I see that this has been brought up previously, but it seems to have been dropped before a solution was found/shared.

    Why not just use jQuery tabs that are included with WordPress?

    Genesis Tabs does most of what I need out of the box with less than a minute of setup. Enqueuing jquery tabs and writing the code necessary to pull the post title and featured image from 4 custom post types, then write the CSS to match the layout of the tabs plugin (approved layout) will take me considerably longer.

    You could modify the code in the plugin.

    Not ideal but will work until they add a filter.

    // Custom loop
    $tabbed_posts = new WP_Query( array( 'cat' => $cat, 'show posts' => 1, 'orderly' => 'date', 'order' => 'DESC' ) );
