I have been successfully using the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin on the Executive Pro theme to show a single image on the home page for several years now. With the last update, the image no longer shows, even though nothing else has changed. I notice that the message on the plugin information page says it hasn't been updated for the last few versions of WordPress. Is there a better plugin to use for this? Or does someone have a suggestion how to fix it?

    Thanks for your help.

Your problem isn't related to the slider plugin. You have some customization or plugin that's preventing jQuery from loading.

You have this line in your source code:

    http://maryjowevers.comhttphttp//maryjowevers.com/wp-content/themes/genesis/YOUR-JS-PATH.js

I have no idea what this is because it's not part of Genesis or the Executive Pro theme. Whatever this line is, it's not correct. You domain name shouldn't be listed twice. Also, the YOUR-JS-PATH.js is not a legitimate file name.

You also have this error on your site multiple times:

    ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined

jQuery is loaded automatically by WordPress. Something is blocking WordPress from loading jQuery. As I mentioned earlier, it could be a plugin conflict or a customization.

Whatever is causing the problem, it's not something that we can help you with from the front-end. This is going to require some back-end troubleshooting.
