Morning - I have been trying to figure out how to put my photography galleries on the nav menu - I am using wordpress native gallery - please see http://heatherhess.ca/gallery/ and http://heatherhess.ca/gallery/gallery-2/

Is this the way to set up galleries - in pages rather than categories and posts?

Also - would the way to best layout the gallery navigation menu be to have one GALLERY link on the menu leading to a page with links to each gallery - like this CATEGORY link - http://www.beetlesandhuxley.com/categories/abstraction/artists/mario-giacomelli.html

I have had trouble figuring out the best way to display galleries on a site because when i was using categories and posts the navigation link goes first to an archive page and then people must click again to get to the gallery - i don't want them to have to click twice. I want navigation menu link to take them direct to the gallery.

I like Metro Pro - although I know that pretty pictures, etc. are designed to be photography sites but Metro Pro is perfect for me.

I just am trying to figure out how to display several galleries on navigation in the most simple way i.e. Abstract - Wildlife - Nature - Places, etc.

    Thanks!

    Heather

You can certainly use Pages for your Galleries. You can also use the NextGen Gallery plugin to do that.
