    I would like to change the home.php page to reflect "Full Width Content" while keeping the default layout for other pages/posts.  Using news theme.

    You can use this filter in home.php.

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );
