Is there a way to 'thicken' the font in news pro? it uses raleway and when viewed on mobile is hard to read. Is there an easy way to 'half bold' it or something similar?
News Pro only loads the 400 and 700 weights for Raleway. If you look at Raleway on Google Fonts, there are 18 different styles: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Raleway?query=raleway
To add the 500 and/or 600 weight, look for this line in functions.php:
wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400,700|Pathway+Gothic+One', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION );
And change it to:
wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400,500,600,700|Pathway+Gothic+One', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION );
Next, use your browser's built-in inspection tool to find the font you want to change in the mobile responsive tester and edit your style sheet to include font-weight: 500; or font-weight: 600;, whichever works better for you.
I went in and found the code and changed it here under 'typographical elements':
font-family: 'Raleway', sans-serif;
Essentially I changed the font-weight from 400 to 500, is this a good way to get the desired result?
