    Hi there,

    I am setting up a set using the Focus child theme an it appears that the mouseover function for the alternative text is disabled somewhere.  I'm presuming it's in the Stylesheet and I've overlooked it.

    Does anyone know where the code is that is causing this so that I can remove it?

    Thanks,

    Graham

    Hi Graham,
    Can you post a link to your site for reference? Can you also explain what you mean by alternative text? That'll help in getting an accurate answer first  try:)

    The site has a German URL which might be a bit difficult: http://www.neueröffnung24.de/ - this should resolve on international systems to http://www.xn--neuerffnung24-mmb.de/

    The alternative text is the text that should appear when the mouse moves over the photo.  In "old" HTML that was the alt= tag as in < img src="http://url/" alt="Description" >

    Now I see what your talking about. I believe your looking for the 'title' attribute to create a hover when you roll your mouse over the image. Typically the alt won't produce this effect.

    I added the following to your img and it appears to be working fine:

    title="image name"

    OK, but that's changing the HTML and I want the child theme to create whatever tag is necessary for the mouseover to work.

    Looking into the source code that it generates for the site, it may well be the title= tag that is missing, but how do I get the Focus Child Theme to generate it?  The photos all have the "Title", "Description" and "Alternate Text" defined, just not the caption field.

    I don't have this problem on other Genesis-based sites, so I am assuming it is something in the Child Theme that is causing it.

    I just recreated your scenario with a default install of the Focus theme and the title tag is popping up fine. I'm not sure why it isn't on your end? I recommend disabling all plugins to see if its still missing.

    Hmm, that's strange.

    Thanks for trying that.  I guess you're probably right and it's going to be a plug-in by plug-in search.
