Greetings -- I'm trying to diagnose an insecure content error on a new trial home page we're building on an SSL (https://) site, using Agency Pro child theme. The error is generated via the Genesis - Featured Posts widget, which is used in the default 6-panel home-middle widget setup (here is setup link). Of the six featured posts, two generate the insecure content error due to fetching the home-middle thumbnail via http:// vs. https://. I can't see anything different about these two posts/images vs. the remaining four.

    Sure appreciate some leads; thanks.

    Hi,
That's an interesting question. I would guess that the "good" HTTPS ones may have been added to the site after you did the full SSL conversion.

I have a lead for you that might work. As you know, the images in your site are generally in the Media section. If you bring up an item to edit it, you'll see the URL, which you can copy if you need it for some other purpose. But if you try to edit the URL, it doesn't let you.

The Media File Renamer plugin helps you get around that. I'm thinking that if you hunt down those images in question in Media, you can hover over each one of them, Edit, and then with the plugin active you may be able to adjust the URL to HTTPS. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hope that helps, Dave

Dave, appreciate the response. I checked into Media File Renamer, and it only renames the actual file name slug, not its entire URL path.

Upon a few tests, the problem seems to persist whether you switch out the featured image or create a new, duplicate featured post, which is weird...been very hard tracing why I have only two insecure image errors and not six, as six posts are included.

Perhaps if I could get info as to how the Genesis - Featured Posts widget creates the URL for each post when Show Featured Image is checked?

    Many thanks,

    Jim P.
