Ok, so I'm *attempting* to create a static home page on the front of my blog. One thing I want to do is create a section (perhaps a home-page only full-width widget) that shows recent posts. I want these posts to be displayed horizontally with 5 or 6 of them. I want it to have just the image (round with a border) and the post title (centered) below it. So something that *looks* like this image: http://www.measuringflower.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/idea.png I'd like each image to be 150x150 and the text font and size to be able to be edited so I can tweak it till it looks decent. And maybe it could be where it omits certain categories if that is possible? Help please! Thank you!

I can help you with this. I just did something similar for a client. The site is still under development, but you can see it here: http://tems-nginx.shoalsworks2.thetechservice.net/. The circles she wanted are vertical, not horizontal, although I may change them to horizontal to better balance the home page.

There's a lot of coding involved with this format, so please email me at victor at victorfont.com and I'll send you the home page, functions and styles file. You should be able to figure it out from there. For the horizontal effect, you'll want to float:left the widgets.
