Editing the "About the author"

On the bottom of the post on top it says "about the author" then below it is the text. If I want to keep the text in there, but I want to remove the words "About the Author" where do I edit that?

Thanks for the reply. I did try adding that to the top of the functions.php file. Didnt do anything, removed the word 'the' to see if was changing it, and it didnt do anything either

You need to put it at the bottom of functions.php. Where it is now, you're trying to execute the code before the framework is initialized.

I added it to the very end and still not changing anything

Hi there

I've a really silly question now. I want to change the title in the author box as well. I found the related article

Modify the Author Box Title

It stated there: "Below is the code to modify the Author Box title on your site: .."

then it's just blank. There is no code to copy. Am I too dumb for this or just completely blind?

This happens to all of those code snippets. There is nowhere any code to see. I'm logged in. First I thought this could be the problem. I'm using google chrome. And tried it with IE as well.

Can someone help me out please?
