Hi,

We have a website at http://fiftystates.staging.wpengine.com and want to change the copyright in the footer. We have a child theme based on the main Genesis theme, but for the life of us can't figure out where to edit the copyright date in the footer.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, dhodima. I looked all through the basic theme edits and looked in my editor and in GitHub). I see things for footer-entry and genesis_footer, but can't see where that text even lives.

Just add in the Genesis Simple Edits plugin. You can customize your footer content.
