    How can we edit default css of genesis child theme and add new css instead of that

    Edit the child theme's style.css file. Best option is to use FTP to access the file and edit it locally.

    i forgot to mession
    edit default css class name and add new class name instead of it.

    Edit the default class name for which element? You need to be more specific about what you want to accomplish.

    Add this to the bottom of functions.php:

    function vmf_my_custom_class( $attributes ) {
        $attributes['class'] = 'my-custom-class';
        return $attributes;
    }
     
    add_filter( 'genesis_attr_site-inner', 'vmf_my_custom_class' );
