    Hello,

today I did a new installation of the Monochrome Pro theme. I avtivated the CTA footer widget area and copied the code from the setup instructions to a HTML widget, like I've done it before on a different website. On all pages this last widget and the footer are performing like in the demo. But on the front page, these two sections are interchanged. Please have a look at the Screencast.

After loading the frontpage only the blue CTA widget will be visible at the bottom. When scrolling up on the front page, the footer section will be visible for a short time, but will disappear quickly.

There is no custom CSS and I tried to de-activate all plugins. Maybe you have some suggestions, what I could do. As I do not know, why these sections are interchanged.
    Thanks ahead.

    Regards
    Tobias

This appears to be purposeful behavior. Take a look at functions.php. In Monochrome Pro, the footer has been removed from the footer area and moved to the genesis after area by the developer.

Thanks, I will have a look there. But the theme demo still works like it should be: https://demo.studiopress.com/monochrome/ Therefore I was wondering why the footer area on my site appears different on the frontpage.

    Hi Tobi_as!

If I'm understanding you correctly, have you already set Monochrome up once before on another site without this issue? It might be worth copying the code from the theme files on the first site into the files on the second one.

If you've done extensive code editing trying to fix the issue, this might be the only way to reset everything. I set up Monochrome Pro on one of my demo sites and could not recreate the issue you are experiencing unfortunately 🙁

Thanks Erika! I got it working again, a database cleanup solved the problem. Now all is running like it should be.

Awesome! That was a strange issue indeed.
