I would like to have sections of posts...5-10 per page showing up with a square photograph to the left and about 150-200 or so characters so that people can choose which post or page to read.

I want to set up post or page excerpts on the Adult Child Grief page. How do I achieve this?

I have supplied the page I am working on right now, trying to put the post or page excerpts on this page. I am not sure which is best to use posts or page excerpts on a page so that people can decide which article they want to read.

My first try is with posts but I can’t read the copy.

If I decide to use PAGE excerpts on the Adult Child Loss page for example, I found this link:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/add-excerpts-to-your-pages-in-wordpress/

It states in the above article to put this code 1
add_post_type_support( 'page', 'excerpt' ); on the functions php page but where do I place it at the bottom?

Which is better posts or page excerpts on a page? I set up the website with pages except for the blog page where I will definitely be using posts on that page.

    Thanks in advance.

Excerpts are already supported in the Genesis Framework. Just select them on the settings page.

So I can use shortcodes after I select the option on the settings page?

You mean the General settings or Genesis settings?

I clicked on the Enable Breadcrumbs boxes for pages, posts, and single post in the Genesis settings. Now I can use the shortcodes to use create what I want correct?
