I'd like to be able to use the Cloudinary Media Library when doing things from Genesis Theme Customizer, such as Logo and Background images etc.

Under normal conditions, in Post editor for example, Cloudinary adds a link in the Editor dashboard next to the WP Media Library to allow using images, video and files served from their CDN rather than local

this is turning into a deal breaker forcing a rethink of using Genesis Framework

any ideas how to get Genesis to include the Cloudinary Media Library the same way that WP does in editor?

How is this a Genesis Framework issue? How can Studio Press be responsible for integrating third party plugins with the WordPress customizer? No theme developer can anticipate the plugins a developer wants to use and integrate with the WordPress theme customizer.

I think this is a question you need to ask of the Cloudinary developers. The lack of integration with the WordPress theme customizer is an apparent shortfall of their plugin. Changing to a different theme will not help you.
