    I made a 'news' custom post type and I am showing the archive at ....mydomain/news. I have enabled the genesis archive settings for my news custom post type but for some strange reason the archive page is displaying 'News' as a headline even though I have left that field blank in the archive settings.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Try these code snippets which remove archive title on different page types.
