    Hi everyone!

I recently bought genesis and modern portfolio theme partially because I am adding in forums to my site and I didn't want my site absolutely slow.

Anyway, after installing and doing other things first (design stuff), I went to my forum page to work on stuff and it's now a 404 error. I tried installing the bbPress genesis connect in case that would help and I am still getting the same results.

I am not sure I have any further information unfortunately, I am no web master, but I get by. Any advice?

The site is http://holistichormonalhealth.com, if that helps.

    Thanks!

Try going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking the save button - that should update the pages so they load correctly.

Weird! Even thought the permalinks setting was the same in the settings after saving it it worked! Yay! Why is that?

If you add or modify anything that can be considered a custom post type (which bbPress is), you need to save your permalinks again. I have no idea what mechanics are behind that but I've just gotten used to saving them if I get 404s on any of my posts or pages. 99% of the time it takes care of the issue. 🙂

Nice. I'll keep that in mind in the future. Thanks!
