    Hi there,

I'm working on Agency Pro to build my site. However, I have a course that is hosted on a different site.

For the Home Middle Widget Area, I am using the Page Links to Plugin and checked off "Open this link in a new tab" so when someone clicks on the course image, a new tab opens to the course site - this is great!

For the primary nav, I have created "courses" with a custom link to my course website. My problem is I don't know how to have this custom link open in a new tab like it does in the Home Top Widget Area.

    Can anyone help solve this?

    Thanks!
    Josie

    Hi Josie,

This is a simple change to your menu (the custom one in Header Right).

From your dashboard, go to: Appearance > Menus.
    Select "Screen Options" (top right).
    Check (select) "Link Target".

Now, for each menu item you want to pen in a new tab/page, select "Open link in a new window/tab"

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for this! That does look easy but here's what I get when I go to Screen Options: "enable accessibility mode" and when I click it I just get "disable accessibility mode" and it goes back and forth.

I've tried to attach screen shots below to show you.

That looks all wrong. I tried to recreate this with Genesis Accessible and Genesis Accessible Menu plugins but could not.

From Dashboard > Appearance > Menus, Screen options should look like this:

Perhaps a plugin problem? (disable all and retry) or
A problem with WP, your theme or installation. Genesis 2.2.1?
Some guidance from the StudioPress folks might be required.

What happens with another child theme, like Sample, or with another theme?

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the message and screenshot - I changed themes but still no luck.

    Will inquire with Studiopress.

    Thanks again!
