    I'm having trouble making the background of the footer in Agency Pro a solid full screen colour. I have different photographs as background images on each page so the transparent footer is problematic. I was hoping to just have a simple black color.

    It's a fantastic theme!

    Try something like:

    .footer-widgets {
        background: #333;
    }

    I just pulled that with the Chrome Developer Tools--it looks like .footer-widgets doesn't have any styling applied beforehand. HTH

    I do the best I can with what I’ve got. (say hey on twitter)

    No luck unfortunately. It's certainly a strange footer.

    Try this:

    .footer-widgets {
    	background-color: #333;
    }

    It works on mine. 🙂

    I also noticed that your footer is transparent. Try this if you also want your footer black:

    .site-footer {
    	background-color: #333;
    }
