    We're using pages instead of posts for the home middle widget. (The brilliant solution that we used to do this came from http://sridharkatakam.com/show-featured-pages-instead-posts-home-bottom-section-agency-pro/ )

    We added

    add_post_type_support( 'page', 'excerpt' );

    to the functions so the pages would have excerpts. We'd like for the home page to pull these page excerpts, but the Genesis Featured Page widget doesn't offer that as an option.

    The Genesis Featured Posts Amplified widget does not work.

    Any ideas?

    What I ended up doing is to use the Genesis Featured Page widget to select the page and its featured image, but I did not include the page content. Then I added a Text widget to the same widget area and put the excerpt in there.
