    Hi there,

I´m trying to add some additional content (a red line for testing right now) right below the main navigation in full browser width (such as the navigation bar). I´m running a custom child theme which is very much based on the genesis default theme.

You currently can see a red line on top of the dark grey navigation bar. I want this to be exactly BELOW the nav bar.

I tried the genesis_after_header hook but that adds the content right before the navigation (the red line) and the genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap hook adds the content below the nav but not in full browser width (currently a light grey line).

Any idea how to solve that issue?

You need to change the priority to which you add content to a hook. The default priority for any hook is 10. Depending on how you are adding the nav, the red line needs to be a higher priority. The higher the priority, the later in the execution stack it fires. https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_action/

Just curious, why aren't you using a CSS border on nav-primary instead of an extra div?
