    Hello all,

This is my first Genesis site I'm developing, and so far I've been able to find a solution to every problem - thanks to these forms and documentation. But I ran across something that doesn't seem clear to me.

I have a child theme Parallax Pro (which is nice) and it (or Genesis) has a footer widget. I am using this as my footer. But I need to add some content in the footer (or before the footer that will still show on every page) that is not inside of the the "wrap" class. Anything I add in this widget is automatically in the "wrap" class.

Basically I need this div to have it's own full width background and (as you probably know) "wrap" keeps it in my set 1200px wide container.

Thank you in advance for your help!

You can adjust the size of a wrap, but the easiest way to customize a footer is with the Genesis Simple Edits plugin.

Thanks Victor, I didn't know about that plugin. I set it up and it's just what I need! I can add my before footer content to the widget, and now I can add the actual footer content into the footer.
