Hi,
Does anyone have any tips for getting these two content fields added into a product archive / category in WooCommerce by any chance?
I have added Barn2 Media's table layout plug in, downloaded their archive-product.php and wish to re-add support for the archive headline and archive intro text back into it.
I apologise, I'm not really a coder, more a business WordPress user, but can delve in and cut and paste things!
The web site i'm trying to upgrade is this one (with an example category) https://www.thestaplingcompany.co.uk/product-category/71-series-staples/
The archive-product I downloaded and instructions are here : https://barn2.co.uk/kb/wpt-shop-category-search-template/ and here https://www.dropbox.com/s/6r96qr6j59g93sm/archive-product.php?dl=0
I'm using the Genesis Sample theme, Genesis Woocommerce Connect and all updated to the latest versions.
Any assistance or pointers greatly received.
Many thanks

A custom version of the archive-product.php template is delivered with the Connect plugin to help Genesis work with WooCommerce. Your third party version is overriding the delivered functionality and not allowing the connect plugin to do its job.
It's possible that one of the other community volunteers here may know how to work with a setup like yours, but you may have to wait for an answer. This forum is for questions about Studio Press themes and the Genesis Framework. Plugins have their own support forums on wordpress.org.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?January 26, 2019 at 9:40 am #480441watsyParticipantHi Victor,
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and reply. As it happens, I did contact Barn2 on Friday, but they replied:"I see, thanks. It looks like "Archive intro text" is something separate - do you have a plugin installed which adds extra options to the product categories?
The 'standard' description for a category is the one above labelled "Description" in your screenshot. Your options would be either to add the "Archive intro text" to the "Description" field, or get a developer to customize the template to include the Archive intro text, by fetching it from the database."
So I didn't realise the archive intro text and header were specific to the Genesis theme, hence subsequently posting here. If no one can help, i'll have to go down the developer route.
Many thanks
