Anyone have any luck adding the Agency Pro 'Middle' (including hover effects) to Minimum Pro theme?

I tried the tutorial at: http://wpsites.net/web-design/custom-portfolio-template-with-hover-effects-using-genesis-featured-posts-widget/ but had zero luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
