Add border to home page text widget

Hello,
I’m new to Genesis and using Lifestyle Pro. I’ve used a text box widget as the top widget on my home page instead of the featured post. I want to add a border around it to make it consistent with the other widgets on the page.

I’m new to this so would appreciate advice that assumes no knowledge of coding but I can follow clear instructions.

Hi Colleen,

Go to Appearance > Editor in your WP dashboard, which will open your stylesheet. Scroll down until you see the section under Content called Home Page, find a new line, and add the following:

.home-top .widget-area {
border: 1px solid #eeeee8;
}

That should give your Home Top area the same border as the other widgets. If that doesn't work or if you have any questions, let me know and I'll be glad to take a look.

Thanks, I inserted the code but I see no difference. Perhaps i added it to the wrong section?
