Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe column widths have nothing to do with the footer widgets. The only CSS that has anything to do with the footer widget area widths is the first entry. The way you would read that CSS is:
if the element has the class of one-forth or is a footer-widget area, then set the width to 23.828125%.
The comma in CSS is used to allow multiple CSS classes to use the same directive. It's a shortcut instead of writing each class out individually.
To change the width of each individual footer area, you have to create new directives for each of the footers.
You would add this to style.css:
.footer-widgets-1 { width: 50%; } .footer-widgets-2, .footer-widgets-3 { width: 15%; }
You also need to remove the .footer-widgets .widget-area from the first css directive listed above:
.one-fourth { width: 23.828125%; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorCan't tell a whole lot from the front end. This may require looking at how the loop is constructed. What I can see from the front end is that the first post on the first row is missing the class giatien-duoi-500-trieu. It also has a left margin of 1.5% that is pushing it to the right. It doesn't align with the posts below it.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?October 9, 2017 at 6:06 am in reply to: How to prevent a sticky post from being duplicated in the posts section #212307Victor FontModeratorWith the News Pro theme, if you add content to the Home Middle Left, Home Middle Right, or Home Bottom widget areas, the standard loop will be removed. You won't see the additional posts once the loop is removed. What you do next depends on your design choices. What is your vision for the home page?

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorWordPress 4.8 introduced the text widget that incorporates the TinyMCE editor. TinyMCE is the same editor that is used for posts and pages. In the text widget, it strips HTML tags. The original text widget was used extensively to add HTML snippets to sites. When the new widget was released, thousands of websites broke as people modified and saved their widget HTML. The new HTML widget was added in response to the uproar caused by all the broken websites. This returns some of the functionality that was part of the original text widget.
Within days after the 4.8 release, Christina Arasmo Beymer and I collaborated on releasing the classic text widget from WordPress 4.7.5 as a plugin. It is the original WordPress text widget with some enhancements such as shortcode execution. In the 3 months since we released it, it has been installed on over 8,000 sites. https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-text-widget/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?October 8, 2017 at 3:10 am in reply to: Easy way to edit Genesis frontpage styles for individual items? Or help? #212277Victor FontModeratorAs I understand it, you want the the border to be closer to the word "Guidance". First, look at your HTML that forms the menu item:
<li id="menu-item-827" class="guidance-nav menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page menu-item-827" style="border: none;"> <a href="http://www.siftingtothetruth.com/guidance/" itemprop="url"> <span itemprop="name">Guidance</span> </a> </li>
This HTML is composed of three elements: li, a, and span. Visualize this as three nested boxes. You added the guidance-nav class to the outer most box, the li item. This is the only place you can add a class through the WordPress menu editor.
From what you are asking, you want the border around the inner most box, the span element. There is no class for you to hook into though, but that's okay because we can apply a border to the span tag itself if you add this to style.css:
.guidance-nav span { border: 5px solid #fff; }
Now you have a problem though. The border is touching the word guidance. There's no space whatsoever around the word. To add space, you have to add padding to the above CSS:
.guidance-nav span { border: 2px solid #fff; padding: 5px; }
Once you add the padding, the menu grows both vertically and horizontally. This is because the middle box, the a element, is already padded and the padding added to the word guidance now pushes the middle box outward. How do we fix this, we have to reduce the middle box's padding to compensate for the added padding to the innermost box.
#menu-item-827 a { padding: 15px 10px; }
Hope this helps.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe reason the icons are up so high is because the have an 80px bottom margin. To center the icons, remove the bottom margin. This will also reduce the size of the blue band. If you want the blue band to remain thing, you need to add equal amounts of top and bottom padding to the icons.
The bottom margin is currently added at line 22 in style-front.css.
.widget-area { margin-bottom: 80px; }
Their is also 12px of bottom margin on the icons themselves. To perfectly center them, you need to add 12px of top-margin to the widget area to compensate. To center them then, you have to add the following to style-front:
.front-page-9 .widget-area { margin-bottom: 0; padding: 52px 0 40px; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThere's only one kind of link in HTML. If you want to add animation, open a popup, etc., you have to use a lightbox plugin or create your own jQuery function to open a hidden div. You also have to create the CSS to format it. Google "how to create a popup link". There are a multitude of examples.
