Thank you for getting back to me Victor and confirming that I needed to use the Text or Custom HTML widgets. I tried them and they did not work - but I was unsure if that is what I was supposed to be doing.

I've ended up deleting the plugin and re-installing it and putting it in my "Blog" area and is working fine now.

Again, thanks for your help 🙂

Thank you Victor for getting back to me.

When you say "bring up a new site just for the art" - do you mean a new site with a new URL?

Thanks, that's is what I'm looking for.

With regards to the font of the headings etc., will it automatically pick-up the style of my theme to ensure it is all consistent?

Also, I believe this means me tweaking the CSS (which I am hesitant to do as I'm worried about stuffing up my website), do you provide step by step instructions on how to do this (obviously once I register)?

Thanks Brad, will have a good look at your site, wealth of information. 🙂

This would work, but I can't see a "More" content/clickackle heading for users to get more content of that category opened/displayed in a new page. Are you able to do that with the "Template For Multiple Custom Taxonomy Type Loops." template?

Thanks Victor - the "websize" is actually me renaming the file after I have made them smaller (the photographer usually gives me very high res files). I do believe I have a custom gallery, so will spend the weekend trying to figure out what I have installed and how to fix it! Thank you for looking into it, will let you know how I go.

Fyi - I deleted the "face detection" plugin and it made no difference to how the images show-up. I think I installed it quite some time ago trying to initially solve this issue.

    Thanks for looking into it.

I'm not very techie, but essentially for me to resolve this is to view how WordPress displays the images and then crop the images to suit how I want it to display?

    Hello

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you on this. It has taken some time to resolve, but I think the issue was a combination of two things, Photon does play it up, but I also think it was a problem with the images Victor (the photographer) sent me, because images from other photographers are fine.

Victor (the photographer) now sends me "WEB" images (I don't know what changes he has made), but they seem to work fine.

Again, many thanks for everyone's help on this. 🙂

No, I have never set the image sizes as they are part of the format.

Please see screen grabs of the choices I have:

http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Screen-shot-2015-06-22-at-1.08.47-PM.png (shows the actual size of the file)

http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Screen-shot-2015-06-22-at-1.59.07-PM.png (shows the options that I have to choose for the image - I always leave it on Thumbnail - I never touch this)

http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Screen-shot-2015-06-22-at-2.21.39-PM.png (different sizes for each of the images - I have never touched this - I have managed to capture most of the content on the screen for the Media Settings section - just the Saved button is missing from this image)

At the moment I have Photon on and I can see all my images as larger (with the text displaying correctly underneath). I don't understand why they are displaying as small to you (i.e. without Photon).

I have left Photon active - in case you want to have a look now.

Here is the image you are querying (with Photon Active)

    http://i2.wp.com/veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Witch05.jpg

Dimensions are: Original dimensions 427 ?— 640 (I got this from clicking on the image in the Edit section - http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Screen-shot-2015-06-22-at-1.08.47-PM.png)

I hope I have given you the info you are after.

Hello - it is Photon that was causing the problem. Just by deactivating it, it shows the images at their true colours, for example, the one we have been testing with -

    http://veronicacolvin.com/portfolio/editorial-and-beauty/#jp-carousel-3383 (warm - true colour)

    http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Kahli_VL815_Cropii-websize-v2.jpg (warm - true colour)

As soon as I activate Photon, that image goes back to cool.

My challenge now is that by deactivating Photon, it has changed the format of how the images are displayed in the Portfolio sections i.e. it has made them smaller, and for the sections that have text underneath each image, the text is now longer than the image displayed (looks sloppy - unprofessional). For example:

    http://veronicacolvin.com/portfolio/special-effects/

Visually - the portfolio sections looked better with Photon activated. Wondering if CloudFlare will replace what Photon did...

I didn't want to go and download/activate CloudFlare without advising you first... and see what you recommend.

    Many thanks for your help!

Thanks Erik - I will have a look at CloudFare and let you both know how I go.

Please bear with me, I have been sick with a cold the last few days so if I don't get back to you today, will so tomorrow. Don't know how long I will last sitting in front of this screen! >.<

    Morning!

Thank you so much for both looking into this! I am on an opposite timezone to you both, so just saw these messages.

I have gone into Jetpack and turned Photon off. I will be updating images throughout today so will let you know if the problem continues. Again, thank you for your help! 🙂

    @moodyriviera

Thanks! I had a look at the image in the Image Gallery and no, there is no colour filter. In fact, when I put the image in the gallery, I don't do anything different to the images, I follow the same steps with every single one. That is why it is so frustrating as there is no consistency with the error.

And to top it off, when I upload the same image with different file names into the Gallery, eventually, one shows correctly in the Carousel.

Thanks MoodyRiviera for taking the time to look and respond.

Apologies for the confusion, I did not think I could give you access to the image in my Media Library (in WordPress) without admin rights - but I was wrong.

I hope the below helps to show my problem.

Sample of image that displays cool in the Carousel - whereas it should be warm:

    http://veronicacolvin.com/portfolio/editorial-and-beauty/#jp-carousel-3383
(in the Carousel) - too cool

    http://i1.wp.com/veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Kahli_VL815_Cropii-websize-v2.jpg
(link to the file from the Carousel) - too cool

    http://veronicacolvin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Kahli_VL815_Cropii-websize-v2.jpg
(link to image in my Media Library) - warm, true colours of the image

Please let me know if you need additional information. I'm not a very technical person, and I do appreciate the help. 🙂

Update - however I am still having problems with this image - http://veronicacolvin.com/portfolio/editorial-and-beauty/#jp-carousel-3383

No matter how many times I upload a new image with a new file name, it still displays too cool. It should look warm. Argh! Very frustrating.

Just a quick update - I went back and got two new resized images (of the two playing up above), gave them a new file name, uploaded them and they are now displaying fine. But why is this happening in the first place?! It will happen again, so if anybody can shed any light on the problem, it will be much appreciated.
