Yes a BIG thank you to Erik for all the help to find the issue AND resolve it for me. (learned something new too!)
Can't wait for the case study to come out 😉 Also I don't think the OS was the issue either.
Thank you Moody and Erik!
Toki ToverMemberWell it initially happened when I first clicked the home link from the dashboard and hasn't happened since.
– Do those popups still happen when you turn off all your plugins? No it hasn't happened since, either site.
– Are you on a PC/Mac? What OS are you running? I am on a mac os yosemite 10.10.4
– What protection do you have on your machine? I dont have any protection for my mac
– What browser(s) are you using? I am using chromeToki ToverMemberWow! A BIG thank you for not only taking the time to find that but to remove and fix it for me! I am guessing it was a hack. How can I protect my sites?
I will say that when I clicked on the toki site a pop up would open in another tab for something like an ad or a warning site. And even now when I went to click on a link in my dashboard for the toki site an ad site opened in another tab. crazy. Is there a place I could go to have my site looked at for a further look to see if there still is files from a hack?
Again thank you for EVERYTHING!

Toki ToverMemberI have cats myself!
Ok details sent to that email.
And yes I feel very lucky 🙂
Toki ToverMemberHi!
Ok I went ahead and deactivated all the plugins. I haven't had that dynamic installed for a while, that might have been a aff link, either way I removed it.
I also didn't see anything in the functions.php file other than what it came with, I didn't add anything there.
I did delete the google sitemap plugin also and activated the yoast version 🙂
Thank you!!
Toki ToverMemberOk sure!

tokitover.com/images/plugin.pngI couldn't get all on a screenshot. I am so curious as to how this has happened. I appreciate your help and hope you can figure this out 🙂
Thanks

Toki ToverMemberWow thank you for looking into that.
I am not sure how all that happened either. I just tried to delete and re-upload the genesis and eleven pro themes and still does the same thing on my end. I also cleared browser like you suggested and deactivated all the plugins and still the same thing.
How can I go about fixing this?
Toki ToverMemberInteresting. For you it looks the way its supposed to.
I attached a screenshot of how it looks for me. - http://www.bestbackpacksguide.com/images/Screen.pngLooks this way in Chrome but not Safari. Could it be the browser?
How could I fix this?
Thanks!
Toki ToverMemberHere is my chance... me trying to explain what I mean is horrible, my bad. ha
Ok so here is what is happening.
From the tokitover site, when I am in the customize area I have the "content, primary sidebar" selected but the way the site shows up is "primary sidebar, content".
Same thing goes for the bestbackpacksguide site.
For whatever reason the sidebar stays in the "primary sidebar, content" position even though I change the option to "content, primary sidebar" and click save. Nothing changes.
When I look at the site in either Chrome or Safari, both sites have the "primary sidebar, content" look. I wanted the "content, primary sidebar" look.
I hope that explains what I mean better.
Thanks!
Toki ToverMemberHello
I gave both site urls in my first post.
For me, looking at both those sites via chrome and safari the side bar is on the left when I would like it on the right. "content, primary sidebar"
Could it be a browser issue or theme?
